On October 19-24, 2018, the 2nd International Symposium on Coastal Resources and Environment (CORE2018) was successfully held at Hohai University, Nanjing, China. The central topic of this seminar was Wetland Restoration. 

More than 70 scholars and researchers from the Delft University of Technology, Deltares, Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ), University of Padova, Boston University, United States Geological Survey (USGS), University of Illinois, Louisiana State University, University of Southampton, University of St Andrews, Cardiff University, Edinburgh University, ABPmer Ltd, University of Antwerp, University of Cantabria, Tsinghua University, Sun Yat-sen University, East China Normal University (State Key Laboratory of Estuarine and Coastal Research), Beijing Normal University, The Second Institute of Oceanography, MNR, Sichuan University, Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute, Fudan University, Tongji University, Shanghai Waterway Survey and Design Institute, Jiangsu Tidal Flat Research Center and other universities and research institutes attended the seminar to exchange and discuss the wetland restoration under the changing environment. After the seminar, the expected scientific research outputs were discussed.
